As Dimensional’s Global Head of Research, Wei Dai leads a team of investment and strategy research specialists focusing on translating rigorous research into relevant insights and practical solutions for investors. She collaborates closely with leading academics on research projects and partners with Dimensional’s broader investment team to implement robust research in live portfolios. She also frequently engages with clients and media around the world and presents at Dimensional and industry events.
Wei joined Dimensional’s Research department in 2014 and was named Head of Investment Research in 2021. Before returning to the US in 2026, she was based in Singapore for more than six years, where she worked closely with clients across the Asia Pacific region.
Wei received her PhD in operations research and financial engineering from Princeton University, where she specialized in statistical methods in finance. She also holds a BS in mathematics and applied mathematics from Zhejiang University in China. Her research has been published in various academic and practitioner journals, including The Journal of Finance, Financial Analysts Journal, Journal of Investment Management, and Journal of the American Statistical Association.
