Pocket Constitution

When I was in high school I went constitution camp and you're probably thinking is that a real thing but it's a real thing. And I loved it, I loved it. I came back from that camp so jazzed and my high school civics teacher handed out pocket constitutions to everyone. And I remember thinking I'm fresh off the heels of this summer camp, I'm gonna carry this with me everywhere I go. And it's gonna be my way of expressing respect and gratitude for this country we live in and all of the ideals embedded in this document. When I went off to college, Washington D.C., and I interned on Capitol Hill. And every time I put on my suit, I put that pocket constitution right in my jacket and as I'd be walking around I'd see senators or representatives, introduce myself and say I'm Steven and I carry a constitution with me. And I'd ask them if they'd sign my pocket constitution. I've got hundreds of these and I don't ask just anyone, I look to those people that I really respect because of what they've created, what they've done. The value that they've added to society. I've got seven Supreme Court justices, two U.S. presidents, a slew of members of Congress, Nobel Laureates that have signed my constitution. And it starts with that we the people of the United States. All of those ideals of doing the right thing and we have ownership of making our lives better. And we have ownership of creating value for others and society. Here at Dimension I see that everyday. It's a company that has a really strong belief system around doing what's right for clients. But it also has a strong belief system in doing it the right way based on academic science. Based on research and that is really what it's about in terms of the ideals that I think are important, that Dimensional feels are important. It's the part that makes me proud to work here.
